We could look as closely back as 5 days ago to see the awesome things you’ve done over this challenge – ways you’ve made yourself proud – but I’m not being so short sighted.

Lou, you’ve been doing amazing things for as long as I can remember!

I’m talking about the girl who wanted to someday buy a home, or the one who wasn’t sure abut going back to school, or the one who’d never been skydiving. Look back at THAT Laura this morning because it’s so easy to get caught up in what we haven’t done yet, or what we’d like to change.

The fact of the matter is, you’ve already made your former self proud so many times, so act like it!.

Back + Forth

It’s not just the ocean that sways back and forth. Maybe it’s you (and not just while listening to the song above!

Like I said, it’s SO important to look back. We have to know that we’ve done so many things we thought were impossible or out of reach before they happened.

The other thing we can use our past for is it’s lessons. When did you feel you were being your best self? What were some of the elements around you that you could re-create? What little changes can you make in your days to up your chances for success?

This is YOUR day. Let’s make it the best it can be!

One more thing before you take on the day…

She has your heart.

Khloe is literally a part of you and she has your heart, among other things. We know it’s a good one. But you aren’t just loving and caring – that heart is strong. That heart is a fighter! Show your baby girl your power and write her a letter to tell her how if she puts her mind to it, she can do anything. This one isn’t to share, this one is for you and her. Write it down and seal it in an envelope. Tuck it away to show her when she’s older.

It’s a fresh week here, too. I’m looking ahead but remembering where I’ve come from and what worked/what didn’t. I do my best work and make my best decisions in the morning so that’s when I need to set my plan for the day and then I need to stick with it as I go through.
